Vinyl flooring

It's in. Looks good.

Paul was onsite just before 8 to clean the floors. It took an hour and a half to sweep the floors and take out the trash. In the end it was probably kind of a waste of time because when the installers arrived at ten the first thing they did was grind the floor clean. We weren't around much today, we went to Racine to get some fabric paint to change our counters stools' upholstery from turquoise green to medium blue so it would go better with the decor. Paul painted one chair and it worked out reasonably well.

We also picked up tiles to finish up the shower.

By 1:00 or so the installers were done laying subfloor and had it sanded and sealed, and by 5:00 the vinyl was done and they were gone. We can walk on it tomorrow.

Tomorrow's agenda includes completing the tiling in the shower (should be done by noon), painting the rest of the chairs, setting the three bathroom cabinets and if there's any time left over maybe start putting base moldings in the areas that will be inaccessible when the appliances go in. After that we'll start installing interior doors in the areas to be carpeted. When the doors are in the casings can go in, then the base moldings can go in, everything painted and then the carpet installation can happen. We'll get around to the doors and remaining moldings in the vinyl areas later.
