Labor Day weekend is over

And boy did we labor.

Steve came on Saturday and helped finish up the kitchen and dining room cabinets. Worked out fine. We also installed a few ceiling light fixtures and were done by 4:00.

Paul spent the rest of the weekend tiling the whirlpool and the shower. Now that he's getting the hang of the tiling it's going much better. The whirlpool was done on Sunday and two walls of the shower in four hours on Monday. That leaves just one wall (the back wall) and the floor to do. Once dry it can be grouted and then it's ready.

More progress was made on the electric on Sunday, and we've done a few other small things around the house too. We hope the vinyl floor installation is still on schedule for tomorrow (Paul will have to clean the house before they arrive) so that gets done. We ordered our appliances from Colder's today and they will be delivered on Friday. We will call in the plumber to start next Monday because we think the shower should be ready by then. Also we will call a few more flatwork guys and hopefully sign somebody by the end of the week at the absolute latest. Otherwise if Paul gets the chance he'll just keep tiling the shower and we need to see about getting a shower door.
