Thursday update

Not much. We picked up a cheap camera last night so we could get some pictures, and a replacement for the Fuji is on mail order. We'll be using the little pink Sanyo for pictures on the lot now and leave the good camera at home for more genteel environments. :) The pictures from now on won't be too impressive but at least they should be better than the cameraphone.

Nasty weather is predicted for today. Paul visited the lot at 8:00 in the morning, wondering what the framing crew was going to do, and found them at work and a load of nifty-looking pre-assembled walls being dropped off. Fortunately Shawn had already decided it wouldn't be a good day to erect any walls due to the high winds and forthcoming storm. So they were going to stick build the garage walls and whatnot, and come back Friday to erect everything. So the bones of the house are all going up in one day. The roof trusses will be arriving Monday. This is moving pretty fast.

(later)
Hmm, maybe not so fast. Shawn had inquired about window delivery when Paul talked to him in the morning, so Paul called Bob who had him call Jessica at which was supplying the windows. Window delivery is scheduled for Thursday 6/14, a week from today. Called Shawn with the news. He thought that might be too soon and would have them Monday instead, but he'd follow up in a couple days to be sure. Then he mentioned that he might not be able to get to our job on Friday, because an earlier job where window delivery had been delayed got its delivery and he wanted to finish them up. So he'd be by us again Monday, unless they finished early on Friday in which case they might stop by in the afternoon. I guess we'll see.
