TWELVE HOURS of grouting. Ay caramba. The shower, obviously, took the most time but the whirlpool and foyer were done too. It's amazing how much difference grouting makes. Everything looks great. Except for Paul. He's a mess. All covered in grout powder. He looks like the Pillsbury Dough Boy.
Lots of other things happened the last two days too. Paul had gone Friday morning to clean up for the appliance delivery and found Travis Brothers' guy there doing our final grading, which was a good thing. He didn't get done because it suddenly rained hard for a while around noon and he left for the weekend. Our appliances arrived around 4:00 yesterday but they didn't have power yet. Kathy and her mom painted base molding all day, so once we get the doors installed we'll be ready to start installing that. We installed another door today, the closet right off the front door. Al and his kids have been here the last two days and he worked some more on the breaker box. This is going reasonably well - all of a sudden today we had light in the house; the light over the sink kicked on. The fridge works, and the leftovers from today's dinner were placed inside. All the outlets in the bedrooms and some other circuits are live. We're really pleased with that. Tomorrow we'll install the overhead lights in the bedrooms so we can see as we move around the house. :)
