Master bathroom shower work resumes

With a full day to work and no subcontractors in the way we decided to get something done around the house and get back to work on our shower. We're up to step 19 of 26. Step 19 is a doozy, though......install backerboard on all the walls.

We bought nine sheets last night at Menards ($8 per 3x5 sheet) and put it in the garage until today. There's not a lot to say about the work, except that it took four hours and we were tired when it was done, and we were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the work we did.











In other news, the drywall sheets are all up, most of the corner bead is done and mudding work will resume Monday. There is one layer of mud almost everywhere except for a few exposed screw heads and the arches are mostly in place.

Tomorrow we will lay the mortar bed in the shower. Hope that goes well.
