Tuesday updates

The roofer called. They went to do another job on Saturday. He said they'd be back either late today or first thing Wednesday. Okay. As for siding, the rough plumbing and electric will have to be done first so they can side around it. They are tentatively scheduled for the end of next week, say around July 5.

Got a hold of Rich, finally. A busy man is Rich. They will make the shower pan in the master bath, so that's good, and that will be on Thursday or Friday along with completing the rough plumbing. Also okay. Kathy noticed that the rough plumbing materials arrived this morning so that should be all set. She also noticed that someone from the Oak Creek sewer & water department was there. Wonder why. We found out later that they were there to mark the locations of the sewer and water lines through the driveway, probably at Midwest Plumbing's behest. Also, we had noticed that the sump pump was moved from the location pictured below to the northwest corner of the house under the front bedroom, where we thought it was supposed to be in the first place. That was good. A waste stack is where the sump had been, which was also right.

What else. Need to call the electrician to get him in. Maybe the beginning of next week, say July 2, would work. Have to ask him about that.

Separate people from WE Energies called to find out when the electric and gas could be installed. Darn it, I was supposed to ask Rich about the gas installation. Maybe I'll talk about that to the plumber who comes at the end of this week. We left a message for Rich about it anyway.

Another drywaller named Jon was contacted, this was a relative of one of the carpenters. He'll just go to the jobsite to look around and get us an estimate.

So let's sum up. Basement floor tomorrow. Roofing tomorrow. Plumbing Thursday and/or Friday. Carpenter comes back Friday-Saturday to complete his work and build the stairs to the basement. Electrician early next week. Siding late next week. Then our unhired drywaller should start. Whew.

Think that's it for now.
