More rough plumbing and drain line

The plumbers were alone on site today. They installed the drain line under the basement floor and fixed the water pipes in place, and added waste lines for the toilets. The inspector came around 3:15 and approved the underfloor plumbing, so the basement floor can be paved Monday. :) Interestingly, the rough-in plumbing was also approved. We didn't know it could be with so little material installed, but so it was. The only thing is that the inspection isn't complete. The showers and tubs have to be in place before final approval so we'll have to go buy those and bring them in. The whirlpool box has to be built before it can be installed and there doesn't seem to be any water lines for it. We wonder how this is all going to work.

We wonder if we should have a drain line under the window well. Will have to ask Rich about that.

Shawn the framer is coming at 7:30 to discuss the remaining framing needs.

The roofers are coming tomorrow. Siding won't be for awhile. That's fine. It hasn't arrived yet. Will have to ask Jay at President Homes about that (Bob is off the rest of the week, so Jay is standing in.)

We cut a check to President Homes to have them supply the rest of the rough plumbing materials. Rich (Midwest Plumbing's coordinator) will simply keep the things President supplies to replace the stock he used on our job, so we won't be billed for them. That works.

We went shopping for tubs and showers and whatnot tonight. It was tiring. We haven't decided what to get yet but it seems we might need that whirlpool PDQ. Like tomorrow. Apparently the shower pan has to be ordered, they aren't stocked at Home Depot. Bummer. I hope that doesn't slow us down too much.

Anyway. Here are bad photos of the underground plumbing, taken when Paul lay on his stomach at the top of the staircase opening and holding the camera in the basement. We will get better ones when we borrow a ladder and go into the basement over the weekend to clean it in preparation for Monday's floor pour.
