They had said they'd measured the footings perfectly, and the wall crew would be there the next day to set the wall forms. Excellent. Time to go to the office for the day.
Kathy went there mid-afternoon and found them building walls.
This is how it looked after work:
Hey, neat, we got the decorative forms with the brick pattern. We hadn't even asked for them. Cool.
This was just about done. They would come back the next afternoon to pour.

We got to the lot in the afternoon and found the crew there, waiting for equipment. Soon the same conveyor we'd had the previous day arrived, and he set up. Then the concrete trucks rolled up. One, two, three......my god, how many are there? Eventually six rolled up.
